Gloucestershire Managed Services (GMS) is delighted to have achieved reaccreditation of the ISO9001 standard following an audit by the external auditor.

GMS, operating out of both Gloucestershire Royal and Cheltenham General Hospitals maintains an externally certified ISO Quality Management System for the provision of Medical Engineering services.

The rigorous assessment leaves no stone unturned and delves into the Medical Engineering Service’s systems and processes. It also assesses how the department records and monitors activity, obtains feedback from customers and how the organisation ensures continual improvement.

Simon Wadley, Interim Managing Director at Gloucestershire Managed Services said: “This is a great achievement and I couldn’t be prouder of our team for their continued dedication. We are fully committed to offering safe and effective medical equipment and providing the best service possible for clinical staff and patients.”

What is ISO9001?

It is an internationally recognised standard showing that we have quality management processes of the highest standards. Often it is a requirement for suppliers to have achieved ISO 9001 to be able to provide contracted services to public and private sector organisations.  An external auditor will assess systems, processes and standards to see if the criteria is met. The standard is recognised in over 170 countries.
