Materials Management Officer, GMS Band B1
We are looking for someone who can work within a small team responsible for providing a quality logistics service to our front-line staff treating and caring for patients. The individual will be managing stocks of consumable products using bar coded data capture and ensures that clinical staff always have access to the correct product when they need it.
Working Pattern: Full-time
Salary: £24,462 to £27,409 a year per annum

Chef, GMS Band B1- Catering
We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and fully qualified chef to assist in running our large and busy kitchen. If you’re driven by hospitality, fun, food and a passion for working to high standards, we want you!
Our ambitions are to expand the range of food we offer to our customers and would welcome someone with new ideas and a passion for food and are equally passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
We run a 365 days a year operation working Monday to Sunday between 7.00am -7.00pm, so no split shifts or late finishes!

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Health, Safety, and Risk Manager to ensure the highest standards of safety and compliance across our operations. In this critical role, you will provide guidance to staff, contractors, and managers on all health and safety matters, ensuring that GMS not only meets but exceeds statutory requirements.

Restaurant / Retail Supervisor, GMS Band B1
We are looking for a restaurant/retail supervisor to oversee operations in our busy restaurant and cafes and be responsible for the daily co-ordination and supervision of Catering Assistants working within the department. Or services operate between 07.00 -19.30 Monday – Sunday, staff are expected to be flexible around shift patterns and working hours.

Senior Estates Officer, GMS Band D2
We are recruiting two Senior Estates Officers with expertise in different areas: one mechanically biased to focus on HVAC, plumbing, and water safety, and one electrically biased to manage electrical distribution systems, fire alarms, and other safety critical electrical infrastructure.

Apprenticeship Success Stories
Ryan’s journey with us began in January 2021 when he joined as a Level 2 Business and Administration Apprentice. Demonstrating exceptional dedication and skill, he successfully completed his Level 2 Apprenticeship and transitioned into a full-time role as a Materials Management Officer.
Driven by a passion for continuous learning and professional growth, Ryan made the decision to pursue further education with us. Since January 2024, he has embarked on a Higher Degree Apprenticeship in Facilities Management, marking another significant milestone in his career journey. The Higher Degree Apprenticeship program, spanning approximately four years, entails two days a week dedicated to academic pursuits at Gloucestershire University during term time.
Throughout his time here, Ryan has found particular enjoyment in roles encompassing inventory control, procurement, logistics, and supply chain management, underscoring his commitment to excellence and contribution to the organisation’s success.
Laurana began her journey as a Medical Engineering Apprentice in 2011, initially with no previous technical skills. Through dedication and study, she progressed from basic tasks to overseeing key service areas like the Community Paediatric Respiratory Team.
As a Specialist Medical Engineer, she led projects such as the ED Patient Monitoring upgrade during COVID-19. Serving as Staff Forum Representative, she advocated for improvements like the GMS Appraisal System. Transitioning to GSSD Equipment Procurement Project Manager, she ensured smooth operations for the Trust’s strategic site development.
In 2023, Laurana became Medical Engineering Section Manager, supported by her ongoing Level 5 CMI Apprenticeship. Her commitment to growth and team cohesion underscores her leadership within the organisation.
A day in the life of
