Apprenticeship Success Stories

Ryan’s journey with us began in January 2021 when he joined as a Level 2 Business and Administration Apprentice. Demonstrating exceptional dedication and skill, he successfully completed his Level 2 Apprenticeship and transitioned into a full-time role as a Materials Management Officer.

Driven by a passion for continuous learning and professional growth, Ryan made the decision to pursue further education with us. Since January 2024, he has embarked on a Higher Degree Apprenticeship in Facilities Management, marking another significant milestone in his career journey. The Higher Degree Apprenticeship program, spanning approximately four years, entails two days a week dedicated to academic pursuits at Gloucestershire University during term time.

Throughout his time here, Ryan has found particular enjoyment in roles encompassing inventory control, procurement, logistics, and supply chain management, underscoring his commitment to excellence and contribution to the organisation’s success.

Laurana began her journey as a Medical Engineering Apprentice in 2011, initially with no previous technical skills. Through dedication and study, she progressed from basic tasks to overseeing key service areas like the Community Paediatric Respiratory Team.

As a Specialist Medical Engineer, she led projects such as the ED Patient Monitoring upgrade during COVID-19. Serving as Staff Forum Representative, she advocated for improvements like the GMS Appraisal System. Transitioning to GSSD Equipment Procurement Project Manager, she ensured smooth operations for the Trust’s strategic site development.

In 2023, Laurana became Medical Engineering Section Manager, supported by her ongoing Level 5 CMI Apprenticeship. Her commitment to growth and team cohesion underscores her leadership within the organisation.
