We are proud to announce that GMS Medical Engineering has once again successfully achieved recertification for the internationally recognised ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
This achievement reaffirms our commitment to delivering an efficient, effective, and accountable service. ISO 9001:2015 sets out the criteria for a quality management system and is based on several quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and involvement of top management, the process approach, and continual improvement.

“This recertification is a reflection of the team’s dedication to quality and consistency,” said Wayne Moore, Head of Critical Equipment and Engineering Services at GMS. “It’s not just about meeting standards—it’s about continually improving how we support clinical teams and patients.”
Our certification ensures that our processes are clearly defined, consistently monitored, and regularly audited. It also reflects how we gather and act on customer feedback, and how we strive to improve our services year after year.
The Managing Director, Dr Mike Gregson added: “ISO 9001:2015 isn’t just a badge—it’s a framework that helps us deliver safe, reliable, and accountable engineering services across the NHS. I’m incredibly proud of the team for maintaining this high standard year after year.”
GMS Medical Engineering was one of the first NHS engineering departments in the UK to achieve ISO 9001 certification back in 1998. Maintaining this standard for over two decades is a testament to the dedication and professionalism of our team.
We remain committed to upholding the highest standards in everything we do, ensuring that our services continue to meet the needs of patients, clinicians, and the wider NHS community.
