The Capital division of GMS has been hard at work over the month of February 2024, managing the refurbishment of the Vascular Theatres at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. They had cranes installed and used to lift in the steelworks and eight sections of an Air Handling Unit (AHU) for the refurbishment of Vascular Theatres Three and Four. The GMS Capital Team coordinated the work in collaboration with Gloucestershire Royal and Cheltenham General Hospitals, Apleona UK and the main contractor Beard Construction.
This is one of the largest cranes that has been on site and needed a smaller crane to set it up and position the ballast. The whole operation was completed successfully by Beard Construction within the time frame allowed; they did a great job which was well planned and executed.
