The Medical Engineering department at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital recently hosted a visit from a Chinese delegation of Mindray Management and Engineers at their workshop.

Medical Engineering Specialist Engineer Ben Iles 1st on the left and Section Manager Christien Ownsworth 3rd from the right met with the Mindray Team to compare notes and investigate possible improvements.

In September 2024, Medical Engineering at GRH hosted a group of Mindray Managers and Engineers from China. They visited our workshop to discuss our experiences with the various Mindray medical devices that the Trust has acquired, which are maintained and repaired by Medical Engineering.

Mindray is a major supplier of medical devices worldwide. The Trust has standardised on many of their products ranging from Patient Monitoring, Anaesthetic Machines, Defibrillators, Ultrasound Scanners, among others.

The Mindray Team is keen to understand the service provider’s focus for the upcoming twelve months and the new installations that will be deployed across the Hospital Trust.

This marked their second trip to the department, serving as an excellent opportunity for team bonding among business partners.
