The awards recognise dedicated and hardworking staff who have gone above and beyond in the last year to provide the best service possible to patients and fellow NHS staff members.

Pascual Perez, Domestic Manager, who oversees the Deep Clean team in Cheltenham said: “During the pandemic cleanliness in our hospitals has never been more important. Our deep clean team members have been pivotal in ensuring that the hospitals are as safe as they can be, helping to manage infection and clean COVID areas and after discharge of a patient. I couldn’t be prouder of the team.”

Carl Moss, Security Manager said: “I was surprised but really so pleased to see my name on the shortlist. As the security manager, it’s important that patients and NHS colleagues, whether on the front line or in non-clinical roles, feel safe when they are at work. I’m just delighted to do my bit to ensure that the people who care for us feel protected and know that our security team will be there whenever they need us.”

Finlay Thom, Distribution & Stores Apprentice said: “It’s amazing to be recognised for this award. Being an Apprentice has been fantastic so far and I’m really grateful for this opportunity. The satisfaction I get in knowing you are helping people is very rewarding and I’m looking forward to seeing where my apprenticeship can take me in the future.”

The winners will be announced at a ceremony at Hatherley Manor on 18 and 19 May 2022
